Additive Manufacturing Sensor for Stress Biomarker Detection

This work presents a new additive manufacturing electrochemical device with conductive graphene and polylactic acid (PLA) filament its application for epinephrine sensing. A three-electrode configuration based on screen-printed electrode architecture an easy-to-connect connector was designed. The sensor surface chemically treated dimethylformamide (DMF) to remove the insulating thermoplastic expose binding groups. scanning electron microscopy (SEM) results showed that PLA removed nanofibers exposed, which corroborated X-ray diffraction spectra (XRD). As proof of concept, G-PLA applied determination in human blood samples by square wave voltammetry linear range from 4.0 100 µmol L−1 limit detection 0.2 L−1. Based obtained application, 3D-printed proved excellent choice sensing purposes.
